About Theo
Theo came from the state public defender's office, which is where Colorado trial lawyers learn volume. He handled a felony trial docket in two districts and carried more cases to verdict in his first five years than most lawyers do in fifteen.
He writes the firm's suppression motions. A drug case is usually a search case, and the search is usually a car stop, a consent, a dog or a warrant drafted at two in the morning. Each of those has a body of Colorado and Tenth Circuit law that rewards close reading.
He is also the person clients call at eleven at night, and he answers. The firm's arrest line is staffed by attorneys in rotation, and Theo takes more of those calls than anyone.
