About Marcus
Marcus spent eleven years as a prosecutor in Denver, the last four of them supervising the felony trial unit. He knows how a case is assigned, how a filing deputy decides what to charge, and which parts of a file a supervisor actually reads before approving a plea offer. That is the knowledge he founded the firm on.
He tries cases. In a practice area where most matters resolve, being genuinely willing to pick a jury changes what the other side is prepared to offer, and Marcus has carried that credibility into every negotiation since 2015.
His particular focus is the crime of violence designation under C.R.S. 18-1.3-406. Removing that designation from a count is frequently worth more to a client than any reduction in the headline charge, because it is what converts a discretionary sentence into a mandatory prison term.
